Visas
for Life Foundation was founded in 1997 by Hiroki Sugihara, oldest
son of Chiune, to perpetuate the legacy of his father.
You might be asking, "What is the Sugihara legacy?" The answer
is a simple and basic one. His legacy is about caring for humanity and
the dignity of life.
Humanity concerns life and all the kind, compassionate
things that we must do for each other to preserve human dignity and
integrity.
The Foundation's mission is to educate people about the value of life
and about what is essential for humanity.
We must first learn from the stories of those who have demonstrated their
humanitarianism.
Our goal is to continue to produce events, activities,
and publications that honor the work of heroes like Chiune Sugihara
who, in the face of danger, acted courageously and selflessly. We also
plan to share the personal testimonies of individuals whose lives or human
rights were saved.
Our
hope is that, as more people learn of these purely altruistic deeds, they
will understand that "one person can make a difference."
Our dream is that, by promoting diplomacy and humanitarianism, we can
help to ensure that people all over the world have the right to live
with dignity and respect.

You can help! As a non-profit educational organization, the Foundation
welcomes contributions to further its work. If you would like to support
